khagrachari is one of the most naturally rich area with hills, forests, falls , the life of inhabitants and spectacular landscapes in Bangladesh. if you are a photographer you have so many subjects,
if you are a tourist you have so many spots to visit. you can go Alotila(mysterious cave), Risang falls, dhiginala, marissa etc. there are so many places to explore. Tourism business is not very much organized in this country not by government and private sector and if it develop sometime khagrachari will acclaim exorbitant encomium from worldwide tourists . The biggest fall which is called risang had been identified last year 2008 and so many falls are on waiting to identify. This area is also safe for wild animals and you can see sometime groups of wild elephants are passing the road while you are driving your car. here the Parjatan motel is also one of best parjatan motel in Bangladesh. they can provide you good environment to stay, garden, small lake , nearby river, good healthy food to enjoy . it is very calm and quite place that you would to stay longer.
I went to khagrachori last week along with a team of my students of a private university.We stayed in a Resort type Hotel,Ecochori Inn Hotel,Khagrapur,Khagrachori.We started by Soudia Paribahan from kalabagan at 11.00 pm and reached in khagrachori shapla chattar at 7.00 am in the early morning.My friend Uzzal bikash Tripura and his brother in law Tridib dada received us at bus station in the early morning.After receiving warm reception in the cool morning we reached Hotel Eco Chori Inn,just beside cantonment East gate.I was overwhelmed by the natural beauty seen from my balcony.There were some valley and hills beside our EcoChori Inn.Actually the Hotel Ecochori Inn was built over the Hill.Those who want to have a scape from the crowd of city life can have a holiday in this Hotel amidst of Hills and calm nature.It is surrounded by mind blowing nature .We also visited Tripura village Haduk para and got their warm hospitality tasting their local pitha and foods.More over we became very glad by the cordial hospitality of Tripura people and hotel employees.
First day, we visited Resang water fall and Alu tila .We visited this place with our guide Babu Tripura.My friend Uzzal Bikash arranged all these things(where to go,how to go,what to eat).On the way to Resang water fall you would be lost in the greenery of dales and valleys and hills.After walking 2 miles on foot you will hear the sound of water falling from the top.The water is very cold .One can drink and bath in the cool water. After that we visited Alu Tilla cave.It was a mysterious cave.
Next day we visited Debotar pukur.Tridib dada was our host in this tour to Debotar Pukur.After taking break fast at Uzzal Bikash's home,we got on a reserved Jip arranged by my friend Uzzal Bikash.On the way we passed many valleys and dales.Our eye sight was taking relax in the road side visual greenary.We got down from the vehicle at Mohalchori after crossing 10 kilometre.In this place we had to climb 2000 feet to visit the holy pond.you will have amazing feeling crossing the ever green hills and valleys.We were climbing over and over with our team leader Tridip dada along with his brother in law Mr.Kei.We were learning many interesting things from Kei about japan.So our journey was full of jocund company.It is said that it was created by super natural forces.Again you have to walk 1.5 mile and have to climb risky way to reach the debotar pukur which is located 2000 feet high from ground.
On the day of our depurture, we went to pahari krisi gobesona institute which is also worth searching because of its variety in research of fruits and flowers .There is place called " Giri swarna"which is located in the midst of a lake.This place will pacify your mind with natural beauty and architectural design -interior.
